The year was 2004, commercialism and wackness
ruled the streets of New York City. Those who
chose to keep it real were brutally oppressed by the mainstream, seeking
refuge and surviving only
deep in the underground. While greatly outnumbered and lacking
resources, the foot soldiers of the
underground vowed to fight on. Many brave warriors perished seeking to
reclaim the stolen land
that was once theirs. Up until now all of their attempts had failed; the
resistance had sustained
heavy casualties and had become disorganized. With very few options
left, a platoon of elite soldiers
assembled out of desperation in the summer of 2004. Their mission was
clear – To launch a
counterstrike
into the core of the system.

This is how you get to the Flushing Meadows Park!
PUBLIC TRANSIT:
E, F, R Train to 71st Avenue - Catch the Q65 Bus from
71st & Continental to Flushing
Meadows
Park (ask the Bus Driver
for the Flushing Meadows Park stop - about a 3 minute ride ) – Once
you get off head towards Meadow Lake Area and listen for the music –
about 5 minute walk from bus stop.
OR
7 Train to Willets Point Blvd / Shea Stadium stop –
walk into park opposite Shea Stadium - walk
past the globe towards
Meadow Lake Area - cross bridge to Meadow Lake Marina and walk
along left side of lake to the event.
BY CAR:
FROM NEW JERSEY / MANHATTAN:
Enter Manhattan from the Holland Tunnel or Lincoln Tunnel.
From the Holland Or Lincoln Tunnel,
make your way to the east
side of Manhattan and take the Queens Midtown Tunnel which
is located off 2nd Avenue near 37th Street. After exiting the Queens
Midtown Tunnel, merge
onto the Long Island Expressway East (495)
and take it to Exit 22 for the Van Wyck Expressway South (678).
From the Van Wyck Expressway South, take exit 11 for
Jewel Ave / Flushing Meadow Park.
Exit into the park. We will be on
your right hand side.
ALTERNATE FROM NEW JERSEY (AVOID MANHATTAN TRAFFIC!)
Take Route 80 East / 95 N to the George Washington Bridge. Cross
the GWB and continue on the
Cross Bronx Expressway / 95 N.
Follow this to the Whitestone Bridge. Cross the Whitestone Bridge
and get onto 678 South. It will turn into the Van Wyck Expressway
South (678) . Take Exit 11 for
Jewel Ave / Flushing Meadow Park. Exit
into the park. We will be on your right hand side.
FROM UPSTATE NY:
Take the New York Thruway (87 S) to the Cross Bronx
Expressway / 95 N Follow to the Whitestone Bridge. Follow
Directions directly above.
FROM BROOKLYN:
Take the Belt Parkway East to the Van Wyck Expressway
North to Exit 12A. On exit ramp make first left under highway
(U-turn) and next right into park. We will be on your right hand side.
FROM STATEN ISLAND:
Take 278 East to the Verrazanno Bridge. Continue on 278 East
(Brooklyn Queens Expressway / BQE)
to the Long Island Expressway
East (495) Take Exit 22 for the Van Wyck Expressway South. Follow
directions above from "Alternate (Avoid Manhattan Traffic)".
FROM EASTERN LONG ISLAND:
Take the Long Island Expressway (495) Westbound to Exit 22B
College Point Blvd / Van Wyck
Expressway. Make your first left onto
College Point Blvd. Continue straight onto the service road to the
lake entrance on your right side. We will be on your right hand side.
FROM CONNECTICUT, RHODE ISLAND, MASSACHUSETTS:
Take 91 South to 95 South or simply stay on 95 South to the
Cross Bronx Expressway / 95 South.
Take the Whitestone Bridge
and follow directions above from "Alternate (Avoid Manhattan
Traffic)".
